A sadistic grin appears on the grigorieva's lips as she spies the assembling mass from the neighboring local. "Brothers, sisters, do you hear the Spartan's words? Your union supervisors warned you this day would come! The Spartans wants to enslave our union and place us under the his garrison's rule! Those Olympians intend to watch from their luxurious villas as you die in their aether mines! I won't let that happen, the Trader's Guild won't let that happen! But alas, those within the Merchant's Guild, who has betrayed our Great Civilization, would!" The grigorieva lowered the microphone for a moment. Confusion begins to ripple through the assembled mass. Then, like clock work Lady Rasputina llifts the microphone. "A promotion to he or she who brings me the head of the Spartan and head of the former Vice-Chairman of Local 310."

The mob begins to advance as a transmission from Lord Burroughmeister's crawler could be heard by all of the caravan's members, it is of silence...

Sahid jumps down from the crawler, and walks next to the Spartan. "People are always so easy to manipulate with gold, they even forgot that they have forfeit their lives." The Ottoman says, then crouches and rises, sniping two times. Small droplets of water begin to coalescence around him, smaller ones gathering into bigger ones. In seconds, The Ottoman is surrounded by a shield of basketball sized bubbles of water. "It's sad to see such events."


Initiative: 21 Activating Shield and Force Field. If first in initiative order:

With another set of complicated, tai-chi like moves of his arms, and a few steps forward, The Ottoman concentrates the water in a spot, so tight it shakes, eager to be released. Outstretching his arms, Sahid releases the pression, creating a pressurized water wave, that engulfs cars and persons alike.

Water shock : Cone area DC 21 reflex damage

"Hoo," Deezy hoos as she watches the events play out via the Beast's sensors. "This looks kind of bad. Brian, do you want out to fight, or do you want to stay inside? Hold on a second."
The Beast's servomotors whined briefly as Deezy pulled against the straps holding the machine onto the crawler's back. There was simply no time for undoing them. One by one, the fiberous cords snapped, and with a roar of rockets firing, the Beast lifted off from the crawler and arced over the convoy to stand in front. The array of barrels on its right arm began to rotate at dizzying speed.

Her voice booms out of the Beast's external speakers, "ARE YOU LOT REALLY GETTING PAID ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH THIS?!"

(Below is Initiative roll. Deez makes that Leap as a move action on her turn, and I'll make a new post detailing her attack at the appropriate juncture.)

"Now that is just plain annoying", James thought. Quickly going through the spell in his mind, he concentrated and felt his skin hardening.

"Let us hope this does not end in a massacre".

OOC: I took the sblock list to mean that you had already determined initiative? If that's not the case, let me know and I'll edit to add a roll.


"This ... is not good," Brian mutters. "So, um, it was 'unseal second pod,' right?" Brian says, fumbling with the buttons to open up his hatch.

"Hoo," Deezy hoos as she watches the events play out via the Beast's sensors. "This looks kind of bad. Brian, do you want out to fight, or do you want to stay inside? Hold on a second."

"That. Out. Please," he said a bit desperately, then sighed in relief as the pod unsealed for him to drop out.

Quickly, the young man tried to get a decent angle on the crowd. It looked to most that he was transfixed by the sight of the mob, and he gave no indication this wasn't the case. After all, while the old joke on the planet is "if it's not cold enough for you, just wait a minute," what happened next was ... rather unprecedented. There was an almost palpable snapping in the wind, and the briskness of the air among the opposing union members grew into something painfully more intense. Clouds of breath misted in front of them, and crystallized in the beards of the men. Clothes stiffened. Bad joints ached painfully. It was as if the depths of a desert night had suddenly settled down in their midst...

OOC: Okay, hoping this works the way I think it does. Brian's Evironmental control (cold) allows him to create an area of extreme cold (fort saving throw to avoid temp Con damage) filling up to a 1000 foot radius. What I want to do is create it moving forward of our position and taking in as much of the crowd as he can without engulfing our people in the opposite direction. I'm not trying to selectively eliminate individuals so much as define the outer edge, so I don't *think* I need the selective feat.

DC 20 Notice check for anyone to be able to tell Brian's causing it (Subtle feat)

Yeah, initiative is already determined (For very large group combat I use group init w/ the order within the group being determined by individual init modifiers). That is unless you want to risk a bunch of enemies acting before you do. ;D
 

The radio crackles, *Is the mission still on, lord?* It's Seif, seemingly not too emotional about it one way or the other.

"Full speed ahead!" Shouts the desert man, crouching atop the now lightened heavy crawler, right sword in hand, fingers of his left hand resting on the cool metal of the roof. Sparks fly as the lumbering vehicle screeches past the front crawler and RAMS into the barricade. Seif lets himself be projected forward by the impact, both swords now drawn, robes flapping, his whole body locked into a ballistic trajectory that's taking him *right* to the black clad woman and her cronies!

CHARGE Rasputina with Dervish Strike, 15' radius area attack, 18 REF save (counting +2 for charge? Is that correct?). In melee with Rasputina. DEF 14, 22 if firing into melee (counting the -2 for charge).

Voda= I think you mean DC16. Area attack DCs are 10+Power rank vs Reflex (p159).[/sblock]

Brian drops the temperatures down a head of the caravan, it begins to snow.

For drama sake, the bad guys will make their initial save NOW instead of in 10 rounds!

The Heavy Crawler collides into the road block, flipping the middle car over, while spinning Lady Rasputina's car to the side. Seif leaps forward and unleashes a dervish strike, striking every Watchman...

Sahid will be able to strike 2 Watchmen and one of the cars. Lady Rasputina effectively has cover .

I'm holding off on all other NPC actions until after Aeaxeos and Deezy has acted.
