M1: Just a Treasure Hunt?? (Bront Judging)

The rest of thrip is uneventful. The sahuagin mutter back and forth to each other and the ship changes directions many times as you continue the journey. You arrive in port 7 days later at about mid-day and the sahuiagn explain "It was the will of the Teeth."
Once you reach the dock and the fees are paid Gregory quickly says his good-byes to the crew. He and Plank lead you a into the town of Stormreach. Stromreach appears to be like most of the cities in Khorvaire. There are street peddlers and market booths lining the streets. Gregory leads the group to the local Golden Dragon Inn. If you haven't stayed in one begore you have certainly heard of the exceellent service given by the halflings who run these and many others inns throughout the land.
As you all enter the inn you can see the large lobby is quite inviting. There are 4 vey large sofas that look to seat 6-7 humans sized creatures, 4 halfling sized couches too. Human and halfling "Lay-Z Boy" Style chairs are scatters through out. The smell of pot-roast fills the air as you enter. Gregory looks to the group and says I will get us checked in please have a seat until I return."

Genithar is like a kid in a candy store as the ship arrives, eyes wide and obviously ready to disembark. But, ever the diplomat, the Wizard thanks the crew, captain and finally the Sahuagin, bowing to them, his long fingered hands pressed together in front of his face.

Being led through the odd city of Stormreach, the cobbled together lanes showing a hundred different architechtual styles and builds, the elf is truly awed. To say nothing of the Free City's natives; from the scampering Homunculai on errands to the larger than life Giants who are seen from a distance.

Arriving at the Golden Dragon, Genithar examines the other patrons with a close eye, moving to stand next to one of the larger couchs, wary of putting himself at ease in a city reputed for it's rough and tumbe life style.

The Elf's hand does not stray from his belt, ever near his longsword.

ooc; awesome! finally here!

Thral'k sniffs at the giant-ruins, knowing from the lore of his people the folly that caused it. For the softskins to live in their bones was a testament to their own foolishness.

In the city, the lizard keeps a wary eye out, hissing at strangers that look at it askance, get too close, or otherwise irritate it. It does a lot of hissing.

In the inn, the lizard looks for a shadowy nook or some other concealment, preferably on a wall or ceiling, then scampers off, attempting to blend in. It then watches and listens to all who come through.

OOC: Yup, he's hiding. Taking 10 for a 28. :)

Corran fair near jumps off the ship as it gets into the harbor, eager to get back on land. Of course, finding himself in the middle of another city isn't much better. He looks around, interested in the land and its secrets, but feeling out of place in the middle of the crowd.

Genithar, Xen'drik is the land of ancient ruins and secrets, right? I guess there should be a lot of great things to find here. When can we head out and start finding them? He starts to perk up as he thinks about the discoveries waiting to be made.

Walking slowly through the city streets, his face grim and his demeanor chilly, the Necromancer walks as if death were beside him.

Still, even with his tough facade, the elf has a wink for his old companion Corran, followed by a quickly whispered reply, 'Correct. We now stand upon the Northern tip of the Dark Continent. None know all of it's history or wonders, and surely even the most opulant claims are only the beginning. Keep a sharp eye out though, there are no doubt hositles and claim jumpers about in spades. We are not safe here, Corran. Still, we must wait until Master Gregory is satisfied, to start our journey....Though I would caution all of us to be aware that Gregory's brother may try to impersonate him and lead us astray. We must trust in one another over all, agreed?'

Shad walks past and slaps the elf on the back, hard. You trust in I and I get you through.

Entering the GDI, Shadé flops onto one of the couches, supremely happy to be somewhere that doesn't float.

Stumbling a step forward at the strength of the friendly tap of the shifter, Genithar coughs to cover his wince that then turns into a smile of agreement as he comments, 'Thank you, Lady Shade'. I shall trust your blade to ever be between our group and danger.'

As you all get comfortable and Thral'k hides (there are four fire places with everburning flames lighting the lobby there are plenty of shadows along the walls to hide) a chubby halfling walks over to you. He has short brown hair and what appears to be a fake mustache. "I am Vicent d'Ghallanda. Is there anything I can do to make you more comfortable while you wait?".

Terran looks into the Golden Dragon and takes a seat Now this is my kind of place!! Yes, my good halfling i'll take whatever drink is your strongest!!

Genithar nods to the halfling, though his demeanor is chilly as he responds, 'Greetings, Innkeep. I compliment your establishment, but require nothing at this time. My thanks.'

The Wizard continues to monitor the odd little man, though keeps an eye and ear out for any other danger in the Inn.
