D&D 4E Magic Armor at high levels...is the math messed up? (4e SPOILERS!))

Btw, you're also kinda pointing out here why weapons get a bonus to hit from proficiency. Attacks that target AC have to overcome usually +3 higher number than the reflex defense on your average character. Which leads me to the question, what happens when the armors increase in AC at the higher tiers of play? All of a sudden my +3 proficiency bonus due to fighting with my longsword no longer overcomes your +3 base armor bonus due to wearing hide, cause hide is now +4 or even +5...

More investigation is needed.

if you max out dex with an elf and elder hide, you tie godplate at +20. A shield breaks the tie.

Or a human/eladrin/tiefling wizard with maxed Int that spent feats on hide armor proficiency...

Haven't checked the other feats that grant a feat bonus to attack (racial ones), but the bonus from Weapon Focus increases at each tear. +1 Heroic, +2 Paragon and +3 Epic.

There are no feats that increase your chance to hit (with weapons, at least -- and the only non-weapon feat I saw was a Tiefling racial feat that gave a +1 with fire and fear powers). Weapon Focus, Dwarven Weapon Training, etc... only give bonuses to damage.
