magic armour on top of special non-magic armour???

Negative Zero

the situation:
my character has a spider-sil suit of clothes, that acts as armour. (beastplate equivalent - armour bonus of +5 - made from a specific spider.) for all intents and purposes, it's clothing, but it has the resilience of armour. (a gift from his archmage boss :)) he's just got his hands on a suit of +2 hide armour that's made from rhino skin, and allows double damage on a charge.

the question:
if he puts the magical armour on, over the spider-silk suit, i know the armour bonuses don't stack, but what about the +2 enhancement bonus from the enchantment of the armour? is it a named bonus as in the magical enhancement bonus of weapons that don't stack with the enhancement bonus of masterwork weapons?

thanks all, in advance

The enhancement bonus increases the armor bonus, but it's still an armor bonus and thus does not stack with other armor bonuses.

The enhancement does nothing alone, it only enhances the armor bonus of that particular suit of armor.

Yes, but if the spider silk is considered a shirt, you can wear both because they take up two different slots, d, although the armor bonuses don't stack, the charge effect should work. Of course, I'm only guessing here.
