Magic fighting nets?

First Post
I've been playing around with the idea of using a trident and net, my issue here is the net can kinda suck.
Most weapon enhancements don't really complement it and I'm not sure if or by how much they hardness and hp increases the STR DC to burst free of the thing.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I'm sure you could enchant a net the same as any other weapon... but you wouldn't put damage enchantments on it. Maybe Eager and Warning to boost initiative, and Ghost Touch to catch... ghosts?

Cant make things out of special metals that are not metal, so rope and adamantine don't mix.

But what i want to know is how would that 20 hardness and 40 HP would affect its break DC

Can't make things out of adamantine if they're not typically made of metal.
Any of you know of ways to increase a Burst DC? Even an enchanted net (as it stands, without any rule that I've seen) has the same DC25 Burst DC, which would start being more than ineffective after mid levels.

Well things with with higher hardness and hp are harder to break.
Manacles > Hemp
Every enhancement bonus increases hardness by 2 and hp by 10, but nothing is covered about it that I can find.

But metal nets (either fibrous or chain-like) totally can be made... just because the rules didn't bother to provide one doesn't mean it can't be done. I was just unsure of how flexible adamantine was, if it could be made into a net with strands. I'm positive you could do this with mithral.

EDIT: As an example, originally tower shields were wooden only, because that's what was in the core rulebook. There was no real reason they couldn't have been made out of metal (other than realism issues regarding the weight, but that's less an issue in a game with above 18 str scores and the availability of mithral). Then, some splat book went and just listed a metal tower shield. *Shrug* Just cause the designers never got around to bothering with something doesn't mean it's impossible.

Yes, but the designers -did- say that objects not typically made of metal cannot be made of special metal materials. When they made mithral tower shields, it was a direct contradiction of that rule. The same would be said for nets.
