Magic Item Compendium TOC is up

I think it stands to reason that each section will be alphabetized, given that that's how magic items are arranged in the DMG. They might break things down into subcategories (for instance, by body slot, maybe) but that would surprise me.

Magic pants? What we're back in the 60s now?! ;)

Magic pants would make one of my groups happy. Ask me about the pants of invisibility some time. ;)

Kaf,

We could only be that lucky about breaking down by sub-categories.

I'm not sure I WANT to ask about pants of invisibility...

They were pants that made you invisible to everyone but yourself. Honest. Of course you can't see them. They're invisible. Trust me. Would I lie to you?

I hope it's alphabetized. Otherwise this will be one CONFUSING book.
I believe items will be arranged by WotC's own custom Dewey Decimal system, in preparation for 4E.

Seriously, Andy Collins also put up an interesting Design and Development article (part 1 of ?) on the WotC site, which starts off with explaining that most magic items suck, at least for the price, compared to the common AC/Attack/Ability boosts that almost everyone gets. I'm anxiously awaiting the next article in the series to see how he thinks the MIC addresses this.

You're correct. It probably covers robes, cloaks, boots, slippers, mantles, masks, helmets, bracers, scarfs, chausibles, shawls, capes, belts, girdles, sashes, gloves, gauntlets, sandals, shoes, armbands, bracelets, tunics, vests, vestments, circlets, crowns, hats, headbands, phylacteries, goggles, lenses, spectacles, amulets, badges, brooches, collars, medals, medallions, necklaces, pendants, periapts, scarabs, torcs, and magical pants.
