Magic Item Creation question

I'm sure that the answer to my question is somewhere in the DMG, but I haven't been able to find it.

Can you create a wand that duplicates a magical effect that has a metemagic feat applied to it? (Horrible wording.) In other words, assuming the character had the appropriate feats and spell selection, could a wizard create a wand of maximized magic missiles?

Yes, but the spel level including the metamagic must be level 4 or less.

Yes, I assumed as much...thus my use of magic missile as an example.

By the way, for my peace of mind, where did you find that bit of info?

That's the limit of spell level one can put in wands.

No...I meant the info about applying metamagic feats to spells in magic items!
