Magic Item Size

The rules are written such that weapons are the only magic items for which it matters what size you are. Wands, potions, etc don't need to be any specific size to work. A titan can use a wand the size of a toothpick (to him) just as well as a tiny fairy (though a fairy might have difficulty carrying it).

Anything that needs to resize to be used does so.

Weapons don't technically need to resize to be used, since a large creature can use a small weapon just fine.

So... yeah. Basically the rules are there so anybody can use any item (with obvious restrictions... oozes are SOL when it comes to 99% of magic items).

I personally find this rule rather silly. Magic items should not just arbitrarily resize themselves to fit anybody. What is this, anyway, Diablo II? Players should have to pay extra to get that special suit of armor refitted.

As it stands right now, anyone can use anything, as if D&D were now some sort of badly-written computer game.

That's right! You tell 'em! Poorly written computer games are based off of D&D, not the other way around!

hmmm. that somehow lacked the argumentative verve i'd hoped it would have had
