Magic Item Weight?

BuddyRich

First Post
Does a magic item (particularly armor) weigh less than their mundane counterpart or does +1 Full Plate weigh as much as as regular Full Plate. I know magic items are consider masterwork so armor would get the ACP bonus but what about a reduction in weight?

Is there a magical abillity that can be built in to make an item be lighter, for example a featherweight effect?

Off the top of my head...

The only thing I can think of to make an item lighter is to construct it from mithral. This has a "rules" effect for armor, but also results in weapons that just plain weigh less.

Or you could cast fly on all your magical items, that would surly make them weigh less. Especially if the BBEG knew the command word and the wearer did not.
