Magic Items Compendium

Is there ever going to be a major expansion of the magic items in Pathfinder? The core rulebook didn't have all the items in the DMG, and not much to replace them. I know there were more items in the Advanced Players Guide, but with the huge influx of new monsters coming (between the Tome of Horrors and Bestiary 3), there needs to be more types of loot for them to have. (And there really should have been new items in Ultimate Magic -- how come there wasn't?)

If you want an official answer, this is not it

In my oppinion, I do not believe there will be a magic item compendium, simply for the fact that rules for creating them are so free form that you can make anything at all

Basicaly, if you want more items, it is easy enough to make them. And with the enhanced spell creation rules, I do not see even that part being at all difficult.

(Side note, you could say there were new items, the spell books. Maybe? Well, new spells mean easily made staffs and wands and new metamagic means new rods.)

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say: power creep.

Paizo seems far more concerned with retarding or preventing power creep than WotC did. One of the many ways they seem to be fighting this off, at least for now, is by not releasing a slew of powerful items.
