Magic Items that grant feats. What do you think?

The party's mage wants to make Bracers of Improved Archery that will grant him the Rapid Shot feat. I'm conflicted on wether I should allow it and confused on what price it would be to make/sell.

One the one hand, its a decent idea, and will make him useful when he runs out of spells, increasing his fun. On the other, if I start allowing magic items to grant feats, I'm afraid I'll throw off the game's balance. Cloaks of Toughness, Bracers of Weapon Specilaization, Helms of Track... won't these things diminish the need for the various classes in the party?

As for cost... what would a feat be worth? Is it equivalent to a +1 bonus? A first level spell? Thanks in advance for any help/opinions I get.

For one thing they should have at lest a +3 bonus. And second of all you should make the prerequisites acconut for usability, if you arent dexterous enough for ambidexterity it doesnt work for you. Another thing would be that this would be a simple Forge Magic Weapon item. Another high level feat would be required to make these. They should also cost alot of money to make and require rare components.

In other words they should be rare and hard to make. I thik its a very good idea though, it's a great way to stop you fighter from switching out his +1 sword for a +2 one, you know what i mean. Its kindof like the unique weapons in Diablo that provide you with bonuses to skills and stuff.

Such items already exist.

Look to the sword of mighty cleaving and gloves of missile snaring to help you set a price.

Note that gloves of missile snaring actually give you TWO feats: Deflect Arrows and Snatch Arrows.

And I think they cost about 4000.
