Magic Ring Pricing Query

First Post
I've been thinking of a modified Ring of Wizardry for an upcoming campaign. It would
double one 5th level spell, Teleport. I haven't a clue how to price that. I know you'd need the Forge Ring Feat and a Limited Wish. Other than that I'm lost. Any thoughts?

So, the only thing it does it allows teleport to be memorized an additional time a day?

If so, I'd just make qan item that casts teleport once a day. Make it command word activated and its 5x9x1800/5 which is only 16,200gp. You need Forge ring and teleport spell. If you raise the caster level, raise the base price.

Sorry for the confusion. It doubles the number of Teleport spells the wearer casts per day. Essentially everytime the wearer casts Teleport they get a second Teleport for free. Which must be used within 24 hours.

That is a lot tougher to gauge. However, it does work like a Pearl of Power. The only exceptios are it only will work for the teleport spell, but it won't be limited to once a day like a Pearl of Power. A fifth level Pearl of Power costs 25,000. I think that price is fair as you have a greater restriction but also got rid of a limitations. They sort of blance out.

Is that better?

Just reread the PoP passage. I think this is a reasonable suggestion. I'm thinking of this item for a Royal Courier's Guild. If the members take the Wayfarer's Guide PrC (Tome of Blood) they will receive one of these rings upon completion. The Guild is part of the Elven Empire and provides a rapid information transport system.

That's a cool idea and I was wondering if it involved the wayfarer's guide. I really like them, it's a cool idea.
