Magic Splash Weapons

Can splash weapons (Alchemists Fire, Holy Water, Acid, etc) be magical?

Eg: using Craft Magic Arms and Armour? Would they be treated as ammunition (ie 50 one-use items)?

What about casting Magic Weapon or Greater Magic Weapon on them?

Going strictly by the rules, I don't see why not. Magic weapon and greater magic weapon affect one weapon. Page 158 of the PH states that a splash weapon is a ranged weapon, and splash weapons are also discussed under Thrown Weapons on page 113 of the PH. However, splash weapons are not projectiles, and so you cannot affect 50 of them with a single casting of greater magic weapon. Shuriken are called out as the specific exception to this rule.

So, if you're willing to spend a 1st- or 3rd-level spell to get an enhancement bonus to hit and damage on a single attack with a splash weapon, go right ahead.
