What school of magic does a magical weapon with only an enhancement bonus radiate as detected by the Detect Magic spell? Example: Longsword +2

Where is this information found?

Thanks

Evocation is about killing stuff through damage.

Magic Items and Detect Magic
When detect magic identifies a magic item’s school of magic, this information refers to the school of the spell placed within the potion, scroll, or wand, or the prerequisite given for the item. The description of each item provides its aura strength and the school it belongs to.

If more than one spell is given as a prerequisite, use the highest-level spell. If no spells are included in the prerequisites, use the following default guidelines.

Item Nature School
Armor and protection items Abjuration
Weapons or offensive items Evocation
Bonus to ability score, on skill check, etc. Transmutation

Interesting indeed, since (Greater)Magic Weapon(which is probably the only applicable spell to use to make a +X longsword, if you actually needed a spell to make a +X longsword), is Transmutation.

Making a +X weapon doesn't require any particular spell. The only prerequisites are the appropriate feat and a caster level of X times 3.

Transmutation focuses on changes, evocation focuses on destruction. Magic weapon should be Evocation.
Evocation is about evoking energies and forces. That's why it has spells like wall of force as well as spells like fireball. It would only make sense for weapon enhancement if the enhancement worked by wrapping the weapon in a field of force that guides the blow or something. And if that were the case then all magic weapons would be 100% effective against incorporeal creatures.

Enhancement bonuses alter the properties of an object or creature. That's the very definition of transmutation.
