A lamp that prevents nightmares while it is lit? May also act as a Prot Vs. Evil spell.
A Teddy Bear of Protection, gives +1 to any saves?
Linus' Blue Blanket, keeps the person under it at a comfortable temperature. If the person is completely covered by the blanket, they become invisible to Evil creatures. (Parents are almost certainly exempt from this effect, regardless of their alignment.) Can also be used as a whip (1 pt damage, subdual damage only).

Whatever items you give out, remember: in the hands of a (modern) little boy, anything can be used as a gun (*Pow! Pow! Piyoooo!*) In a more traditional magic world, the weapon of choice would be a sword...
