Magical Sensor of Scrying spell

To answer questions more or less in order:

Who can spot the sensor? Anyone with line of sight to it with an INT of 12 or higher. Pretty much says so in the spell description.

How many checks do you get? One per customer, unless there's some clue or change in situation that might suggest otherwise. For example, if someone cases Detect Magic for whatever reason, the Sensor would show up as a magical effect. If the caster then tells people, "Hey, there's something magical over there...", I'd give them all another check.

Can See Invisible spot the Sensor? The text of See Invisible says you can spot Invisible objects or creatures. The sensor is neither an object nor a creature. It has no specifically designated size or form, so at best it would entitel the oserver to another INT check to notice it. (Strictly my personal ruling, but consistent with the RAW. )

As for using spells from the Ethereal plane... You can see into the Material Plane for a distance of 60 feet, while remaining invisible, inaudible and without scent. Why do you need the Scry spells?

If you should cast from there, designating an area you wish to view, the Sensor would appear on the Plane you are trying to view, presuming the Scry-class spell you're using can cross planes. If it can't then the spell won't work at all.

Arcane Eye might be the only exception, since you can create the Eye near you then send it away on your current plane. The thing is, the caster could walk or run at least as fast as the spell, and can see at least as well. Why use the spell at all?

Now this was my read of the rules, and there's plenty of room for disagreement.
