Pathfinder 1E Magical Warding Rituals

I'm running my group through a series of adventures set in Falcon's Hollow. The party is going to be subcontracted by Sharvaros Vade (local wizard/sage/weird dude) to find some items that used to belong to the fey court in the nearby woods. He'll use those items to construct a warding around the town to protect it, or at the very least Kreed Manor, from the fey. I'll be heavily borrowing from the Into the Haunted Woods module for this.

After the fetch quest, I want the party to be involved with the warding in some way, but I'm not sure what to do. The party is level 1 and consists of a rogue, another rogue, and a barbarian. (Balance be damned!) I'm currently thinking that during the casting of the magic spells fey attack and the party has to protect Sharvaros.

Long term plan, the fey will definitely be returning. (Tide of Morning, Carnival of Tears, and Realm of the Fellnight Queen for sure.)

I'm open to rules specific, rules agnostic, and any other advice you may have. :)
