Mahnahmahna!

I have some very fond memories of the Sci Fi theatre... on our honeymoon, The Universe ordered me some drink that was green and came with the glowing ice cube (you can get them in any drink if you ask... your son will love them!)... the drink was tart and delicious... and BIGGER THAN MY HEAD.

I drank it down WAY TOO QUICKLY before our food came and ended up just a little too tipsy for my own good. Made the sci fi shorts playing on the screen even more entertaining, though.

The Universe and I got to be the Grand Marshalls in the Stars and Cars parade that day, too... ahhh... we had the best honeymoon EVAR!

It's just me and the missus that night. Duncan will be with the grandparents at the 50' diner. :)

I'll have to get one of those ice cubes.

Mrs. Rel and I also had our honeymoon at Disney World and it was great fun. I recommend it if you're interested in doing more than laying around on a beach and...doing the other stuff that folks do on honeymoons (Although I recommend that too. After Disney World we cruised on down to the Keys and did some scuba diving, laying in the sun and...the other stuff that folks do oin honeymoons.).

Hold on, everybody. That Muppet Show clip was not the first time Muppets did that song.

This song was a skit on Sesame Street of a little muppet kid named Roosevelt Franklin who was running from his mother. I think she was trying to put him in the bath or something. He was singing the Mahnahmahna, and the dododoododoo was background singers. But as the mom chased him back and forth across the screen, she yelled at him, "Roosevelt Franklin, you get back here..."

My brother and I were kids when we first saw it. It busted us up. We ran around the house singing it for weeks.

I didn't know this had been on the Muppet show too 'til I saw this clip.

Every time I get it out, my daughter comes up to me..."Show me the funny movie again daddy!"
 My coworkers didn't appreciate me singing it all the time, so I've seen the frustration from that end too. ;)

As I recall, the original version sounded like "mahnahmahnop". It was only years later that I realized it was teaching part of the alphabet - M, N, O, P....

Well one would expect an educational component in any X-rated Swedish documentary so this is no surprise.
