Bill Gates is more than probably a fan of Paranoia.
Only utter morons would use a computer system that can be remotely blocked or disclosed by a NSA spy, or by a Microsoft employee.
Unfortunately, the Dilbert Law demonstrate that leaders are always utter morons.
So, with the exception of paranoid dictatorial countries like China (at least, those rich enough to develop their own systems), everyone will be put indirectly under the law of Microsoft, the US intelligence agencies, and the various lobbies (like RIAA) that fund MS.
Big Brother is better when it's a private company.
