I'm interested in making a Dark Jewels Trilogy campaign setting. First I want to know if any other readers of the series have nifty ideas which I could add to the setting. Second, I wanted ideas on how to make it "fair", since certain castes (queens, black widows, healers and warlord princes come to mind) and jewel ranks give a huge advantage. Perhaps a system in which one moves up through the castes and jewel ranks, but that wouldn't be fully true to the books....
