Making a Forsaker work as Magekiller.

Take the "must destroy magic items" away from the Forsaker class to make it playable.

Then in a high level party go Drow Monk Forsaker.

MAJOR auw.... natural DR from forsaker gets you to bypass others their DR cause you attack unarmed.... nice DR yuorself.. fast healing and a SR that stacks with EVERYTHING as noted in the Forsaker class description... level 20 monk / 10 Forsaker Drow has got 51 SR and 1d20 fists with +5 for penetrating DR. I'm sure if you'll balance it out with the levels the right way you'll get like 1d20 with +7 regarding DR bypassing...

Anyone ever tried anything like this or is it just a stupid thought and am I making a correct interpretation of the given possibilities *rules* here?

[Seems like a really cool Mage Killer]

The forsaker (IMO) is not really viable as a PC class. At high levels there are just too many things that require magic to bypass. I mean he has to make saves to resist beneficial spells cast on him such as Fly. A bottomless chasm represents little challenge to a 9th level party, but a Forsaker is pretty screwed.

Also at really high levels Plane-shifting and teleporting becomes a virtual necessity.

No player in my game would ever play one, so I created a tribe of Ettin Forsakers.

Nothing worse than a pack of giants who knock you down, strip you, then smash your magic items.

The idea behind the Forsaker is nice, to say the least, but is broken. Witht he character wealth system as it stands the character could not afford to gain the neccessary magic items to keep his abilities going at all times. Which is the way most people would want it. After a while, with enough Forsakers running around the land, magic items would become scarce. That is why I think it is broken, but I may be wrong.
