Making a monks attack magical

Is there any way to make a monks unarmed attack magical? I've heard there was an option in the Arms and Equipment Guide to add armor speacial abilities to bracers of armor. Is there something in there to use weapon special abilities for unarmed strikes? I know about the amulet of mighty fists for the regular enhancement bonus. But I'm looking for the other special effects such as bane, shocking or speed. I can't find anything though so I was hoping someone could point me to some obscure paragraph or book I might have missed.

Thanks

This is a really old question and was the subject of discussion in a thread a week or two ago. Bracers of striking will do the trick. There are also other sneaky methods.

Where can I find said bracers? Or is it an expansion off of the bracers of armor rules?

I wish I would have caught the previous discussion.

There is a Feat in Arcana Unearthed that allows you to have your natural weapons (i.e. fists, feet, claws, bite, etc.) made magical just like weapons. The effect can be turned off or on at will as I recall.

Bracers of Striking are in Magic of Faerun.

note that a monk's unarmed strikes are treated as both natural and manufactured weapons, so you can have a magic effect that affects weapons (e.g. greater magic weapon, silversheen) also affect the monk just as easily.

He may not be playing a monk. :)

Interestingly enough, the most kickass unarmed combatant isn't the monk but the fighter (monk 1/fighter X is better). Weapon Specialization is the same as two die increases in damage, and Greater WS is like two more die increases in damage. Plus you get fighter BAB and can wear fullplate and shield. And you can focus your stat increases in STR instead of WIS.
