Manipulating Reincarnate

Is there a way to specify, or at least influence, the random check on reincarnate? This would be less for powergaming and more for a running joke.

In my party of 6, we originally had 2 dwarves, and the four other characters were various races. When my human warlock got killed, reincarnate was the only raise available, and my random roll came up dwarf. Then our halfling cleric died, and he also happend to reincarnate as a dwarf.

Since we're still slogging through RttTOEE, the remaining two PCs are probably going to die soon enough. Is there a way I can arrange for them to also come back as a couple more confused (and racial-ability-limited) dwarves?

A maximized reincarnate could be interpreted as resulting in an automatic "00" result (DM's choice). A kind DM might decide to choose "Dwarf" if you so desired, especially if you had previously cast divinations to determine the race, prayed to Dwarven Gods, offered the DM pizza, etc.

A less definite method to alter the results of a reincarnate spell might be to find a Druid with a luck blade and/or cleric level and the luck domain (each allow him to reroll one roll).

(Yes, this is all debateable)

in 3.0, we played that 'true reincarnation' the 9th level spell, allows the druid to pick the form the form the creature returns in...

That probably doesn't help though...

Do it in the Dwarven Temple to increase your chances: maybe chances for duergar, mountain dwarf, etc.

I ran an adventure with a personalized reincarnate list because of various in-game elements (location plus caster plus day-of-year). Note, also, that the list changes according to the type of the deceased: monstrous humanoids get a different list, usw.

Are you the DM? If so...

There's a method of permanently becoming a dwarf in RTTTOEE. Have the non-dwarves attempt to take the hammerspheres.

Or a dwarven researched variant reincarnate spell that automatically brings back the dead person as a dwarf?

That or:

Probably along the lines of the powergaming you want to avoid, but maybe an out of game suggestion to the DM that he let your team find a scroll with a higher level reincarnate spell that allows the druid to select the race.

Thanks,
Rich

There are several classes focused on controlled chaos (Wildmage I think is one, there is also a psionic one as well) that let you reroll anytime you roll on a random table and take your pick of the two results. Add in a luck reroll and you would have up to three choices per reincarnation.
