manual page reloads

I'm noticing this morning that the forum pages are not updating when I use the back button on my browser (for example), so I have to reload the page manually if I want to see threads/forums marked as read (and new posts, etc). Is that intentional to save the server a bit of work?

We've always used an element of caching for resource reasons. I haven't changed anything related to that recently though.

Strange. It's actually the normal behavior for other sites, but EN World has always (or at least for a long time) updated page content when reloading even when going back a page. Wonder why it's changed!

Many ISPs stick "invisible" proxies between their customers and the wild, wet Internet. Perhaps yours is now doing this, or their proxy configuration changed, or something like that.

Interesting idea, but it happened the same time at home and work, which are different access points to the internet. Oh well, this will probably be one of those mysteries. I'd thought this must be affecting everyone, but I guess not!

Nah, I believe something has changed with EN World. After the reformating of the forums, it now doesn't auto-refresh when using the "back" button.

On another note, Pop-up ads now Morrus? Jeez, how low are we planning on going here.

I've gotten 1 for "Wizards 101" and at least one or 2 others but I can't remember them. They show up at the bottom of my screen.
