Map Folio II - Wow!

That's funny, Merric -- when I saw the thread title I thought "wow, Merric is one enthusiastic guy when it comes to D&D products if he's wowing the Map Folio." I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was wrong.

Not that I have it out for the map folios or anything, they just seem like a product that it would be pretty hard to get excited about.

ditto on the title, but after reading the first line of his post. well, the humour was not lost. in this case Merric has teh funney.

Nobody has mentioned Phineas' 100 maps pdf, downloadable right here at enworld. These are very nice basic maps, fully modifiable. They're pretty much unlabeled, with almost no scale marked, but very useful. I've used some of the caves, several castles, am using one as a dwarf-town right now, and intend to make major use of them in my upcoming campaign.

Of all the game materials that are available, the only one I really, really need is a book of maps.

That's why the most used books in my gaming collection are the Judge's Guild Village Books, Castle Books and Island books.

Also, before my hard drive crashed, my Forgotten Realms Atlas got a lot of use. If I needed an inn, I looked for one in it, opened CC2 and tweaked it for my use.
