Is there a way (a program maybe, free if it is avaliable) to take a map, say a map of the Forgotten Realms (that I have in a jpg or other format) and apply a 12 mile hex grid to it at the correct scale of the map used? I'd like to do this on my computer if at all possible so I can print out sections as necessary.
Basically, I wanted to take one of the newer FR maps and use the 12 mile hex scale from Fields of Blood. One thing I'm not very good at is map scales and such. I always worry I am going to be off and I like to have it close to perfect as possible.
