map makers unite! but where?

There seems to be a lot of info on everything but there's no forum where map makers can post & review their works! Why is there no forum for this? CC2 is not the only map making program out there. A site like this should have a map making forum to swap ideas no matter what type of method for generating a map of any kind is used. -Jim

I don't see any reason not to discuss mapmaking in the General forum. If every subset of roleplaying is forumed away somewhere, the General forum's gonna look like this:

Piratecat: Raining here in Boston.
Wulf Ratbane: Darn.
Mark: I love chocolate, don't you guys?
hong: [general honglike statement]

And so on. Alternately, you could discuss mapmaking in the Art forum, as I can definitely see it as a form of artwork.

I used paint Shop Pro

I basically just used Paint Shop Pro to make all of my maps (check out my Star Wars space maps at http://the-never.net/future ). There isn't a higher res version!- the regional maps are just done for utility (I post them at the top of the campaign log for reference as the game is going on).

At the end of the campaign I am going to make a packet full of all of the maps from the campaign, the character sheets, the GM notes, sketches, etc, photocopy everything at Kinkos and make like a little book for each of the players to remember the game by.

I print out all my stuff and give them out as handouts, so I tend to like higher res stuff :). I love your idea of giving out a packet, good thinking, I might have to steal that :).

Wow, I hope I started something good here! Who is kreynolds? Also, how do you upload files to his location? How does he run his site, how do you access your files, etc?
Arravis - great maps!
