Well, the reason I can't upload my files here is cause I want to upload the photoshop files. They tend to be 10+ megs. I don't mind all those that use photoshop using my artwork as long as it's not used commercially. Kreynolds is a poster here and he and I had discussed making a database of photoshop images, in layers, that other people can pull from for their own maps and those that make their own can upload to. Anyway, on that FTP site I have uploaded the photoshop file for you guys to use :) (14.5 megs though).

Darraketh, I like your maps btw, very cool :).

Sorry. I misunderstood the discussion, apparently.

No not really.

I think what we have is people such as myself, of mediocre talent, who just want to show off what they've managed to accomplish and some fine folks such as Arravis and kreynolds who are considering the wonderful idea of building a database of reusable objects for use with Photoshop.

posting maps & floorplans

Is there a limit to jpg/gif sizes that can be posted to the art gallery? I've got some stuff I'd like to spread around seeing's that i don't have (ie: can't afford anymore) a website.

When you post you can see the max size under the words "Attach file:"

The max size is 208400 bytes.

If you find that your jpeg or gif files are too large try converting them to png.

My FTP server should be more stable now. I've since updated it to some newer software and it has much less overhead, so the download speeds should be a bit better. Also, connections for large uploads shouldn't drop as often, though hopefully they won't drop at all. I've been stress testing it for a little while and have successfully and repeatedly completed over 150MB uploads to it without a problem. Let me know if you guys have any trouble with it.

Don't worry about space either. Right now, I've got about 1GB available, but that should increase shortly (I'll be backing up the drive the upload folder is on pretty shortly.
