I wanted to get some opinions on the maps I am creating using MS Paint, although I don't know how to include image files withing a post for display. Perhaps someone could help?

When you post a message there is an Attach File option below the field you type in. Make sure the file isn't too big, I think 250k is the max size.

Thanks Crothian.

The intention of my original post was to show off some of the maps I have been creating in MS Paint. I know this sounds like a head-ache but I've got my system down that I can throw these together faster than drawing by hand. I'm no expert with programs like photoshop, and Paint serves me well enough and has a small learning curve. All the portions of the maps such as trees, rocks, grids, tables, chairs, etc. I have saved in many organized folders which I just insert into my current map I am drawing. Anyways, I'll post some of my examples...

The top first picture I created for a forest encounter with a phantom fungus. THis took me 5 minutes. Mind you I just paste from all my pre-existing .bmp files.

I first paste in my pre-existing grid, then paste in a variety of trees along the outside. Then I use the erase tool to get rid of the grid on the outside. I don't worry about cutting off some of the trees as the next step I use the spray paint tool with white to give the fading out look. I then just paste in a variety of pre-existing outdoor pics of trees, grass, the mushrooms on the ground. And thats pretty much it. Oh, if you notice I typically just use white, black, and the two default grey colors, as this is much easier on my printer.

Nifty. I also use an older Paint program to do maps. I use a grided template then fill-in what I need. Yours looks much sharper than mine. 'course I'm using a VERY old paint program.
