Maps superimposed over other maps

My Google Fu wasn't strong enought for this one.

Does anyone know of a Web site where I can look at maps of one location superimposed over maps of another location? (For example, the British Isles superimposed over the state of New York.)

Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated. :)

Using paint shop pro you can set up two layers and blend between them. Im sure both photoshop and the free Gimp (for windows) will do the same.

The problem is that you will need to get the original images of UK and New York. I say this is a problem because all maps of the earth use a projection of which the common ones do not preserve area. For example the normal world maps in a nice rectangle (UTM) have huge polar caps. So pick a projection which definitely preserves area. The Wikipedia is good for explaining all about the huge number of different projections.

perhaps this one...

Cool - thanks for the info :)

Over the holidays, I was thinking Campaign Cartographer 3 might be very useful in this endeavor.
