When using Maptools with a map that already has a grid (like the amazing KOTS map Ashrem Bayle put together at http://www.enworld.org/forum/showthread.php?t=227731), how do you go about placing tokens to line up with the grid on the map image as opposed to the grid within Maptools? I've tried resizing the Maptools grid to align, but it doesnt quite work...can you disable the Maptools grid?

A trick I've used is to bring a map in as a background object. This allows you to freesize the map to the grid for fine-tuning the alignment. Generally, I'll start with the grid first, get it close enough, then resize the map (while holding the Shift key) to get it more exact.
