Marvel Animation’s Marvel Zombies | Official Trailer

I finally watched it.

Disappointed.

Not just in the "Marvel animation has generally not been as good as the DC animated stuff," but ... I found things that I really enjoyed in the recent Black Panther-adjacent series (Eyes of Wakanda). This ... I guess nothing about the concept, the story beats, the animation, or the plot was particularly engaging to me. I ended up slogging through it only because I have a need to complete things I started, but didn't enjoy the experience. YMMV.

I loved the ending. The whole thing showed scarlet witch to be a bad guy, she finally wins and it turns out she was right, she could fix the world, except she didn't. It was all an illusion and Kamela's friend is there trying to snap her out of it. A great ending that can either continue the series or be left as the ending. All around great ending in my opinion.

well this wasn't on my bingo card. Season 2 is a go!

Brad Winderbaum, head of streaming, television, and animation at Marvel Studios, confirmed on The Escape Pod podcast that Marvel Zombies will be returning for season 2. While it has not been formally announced by Marvel, Winderbaum has ensured production is underway and is preparing fans for another emotional rollercoaster after the shocking scenes in season 1.

"I don't think it's a spoiler, but I saw the first animatic of the first episode of Marvel Zombies season 2 this morning. It was crazy, I can't say anything about it, but it delivers not just on like zombies, but also on like an MCU thing that has never really happened before that we're very excited to do."

I actually just recently watched it. It was a fun ride. The ending was a little meh? to me, but not so much that it influenced the fun I had with everything preceding it. Knowing there's an S2 actually makes me more excited because maybe I'll get an ending I appreciate a little more.

The animation itself was superb. I didn't have any trouble following anything going on on-screen, even though it was fast and frenetic. Got me excited to finally finish watching Hit-Monkey and What If...?
