Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited--Am I in Heaven?

I'm hoping both DC and Marvel go to a system where you get the new books online about a month, two months after they are printed. Or whatever; doesn't matter to me if it's six months or a year after they're printed. Once that happens, my days of buying the floppys are probably over. It'll be cheaper to simply read them online. It'll certainly boost my trade paperback buying, I'm certain.

Edit - I'm hooked. That is a marvelous and easy format and I'm pretty darn impressed with their reader. I like it a bit better at first look than the Zudacomics reader DC uses right now. And we have Golden Age books! That sold me, right there. I'll be getting an annual sub when I get home.

Thanks of remnding me folks, just subscribed for a year. I read about this back in november, but my finances and my time were a bit more limited at the time, now...

There's so much to read and i gladly pay $60 a year for it. Only real 'problem' i see is that the series aren't uploaded in order and there are a lot of missing issues in the series. I'm sure that it'll be remedied in time. Not being able to download is fine for me, for the price i don't expect it. The internet requirement might be annoying for some, but there is such a thing as wireless internet (might be a bigger problem in the US then it is in the Netherlands), alternatively you can take screenshots of the comics you want to read on your laptop without internet access.

I would love to see Image do something in the same quality as this.

True, they've got more than a few holes to fill. They seem to know where their major priorities are though: the Clairemon/Byrne X-Men run is pretty thorough!

But I've already worked my way through a revisitation of the Korvac and Infinity Gauntlet sagas, and am discovering the Exiles series for the first time. Pig in slop, that's me!
