That depends on what the next D&D film is all about. Hopefully, it won't be a sequel. All I know is that Matrix producer Joel Silver's company is involved in the second film project.

Personally, I look at D&D as a brand label, much like "vampire" or "Dracula." If you can have so many "vampire" films, some of which are good and some bad, I guess you can also have so many D&D films made.

An interesting aside. My ten-year-old spent the day at her best friend's house, and while she was there they watched the D&D movie. When she found out that my wife and I hadn't seen it she was shocked and said "What? How could you not see it? You've been playing the game for over twenty years!" We explained to her that the movie was based on the game and not the other way around.

Joel Silver's company was behind the first D&D movie too.
