"Masks of the Living God": Impressions?

To be clear on this point, did you play Crypt of the Everflame as the lead in to this module? Or was Masks played as the intro?

Crypt was the first thing we played, followed by Kill Bargle (from Dragon magazine) while we waited for Masks to come out. After Masks, they did some in-town stuff, and some high-seas ghost ship stuff, and made it to the start of City of Golden Death (Where they are now an average of 9th level).

Megablake,

Very cool description, and I admire your skill as a DM to have been able to pull this off.

You have made me look at this adventure in a new light. Well done as both a DM, and thanks for sharing it here.

Thanks! It all came together pretty well. I've got some good players who are willing to follow the plot (so long as they can try out all their fancy new Pathfinder abilities!).

Good feedback folks. I always like seeing how my adventures play out. You can only plan for so much and then it is up for the GM to make it work. I am glad to see that Masks appears to pull that off for some. Anyway... I hope folks here are enjoying the adventure.

One last bump on this thread before Sunday when we record the podcast and our review/deconstruction of Masks of the Living God.

If you have something to contribute -- even if it was that the adventure did not attract you and you chose not to get it -- that would be helpful feedback too.

A heads up that we have released an in-depth spoilerific review of Masks of the Living God in the latest Episode of Chronicles: The Pathfinder Podcast. You can find the podcast here.

The podcast also features a lengthy interview with the module's author, Jason Bulmahn, where we discuss the process of designing the module, behind the scenes considerations and other details in the adventure as well as the module's predecessor, Crypt of the Everflame.

I took into account the comments concerning the module in this thread (as well as comments on the Paizo forums) in the review of the module -- and wish to thank all who posted here for their thoughts and contributions.
