Mass Heal and spontaneous casting

Anyone consider taking Versatile spellcaster to use lower level spells to power your Cures?

If you're Dragonblood, you can also use Practical Metamagic if you metamagic them (Empower at +1!!).

(also works with Spoontaneous Domain Casting)

That's because the limit never matters in practice. :)

You are clearly a man who has never had to fight an army of hundreds of undead.

(~ 6 playing hours into the battle and counting. We're hoping to finish next session. Not many battlefields carpeted in corpses before the battle starts ...)

True, you could then get only get 17 out of 24 medium sized creatures (assuming that everyone is on the ground). Those 7 other zombies will be happy about that limit. Until the fighter great-cleaves through them, that is.

Actually, I have, but I usually start that out with a holy smite or a turning from Disciple of the Sun. :)

And, after one or two rounds, the two-hander barbarian with great cleave clears out a LOT of lower-level undead. :)

Yeah, we dusted a few dozen with turns. Sadly, our Barbarian only has Cleave, not Great Cleave. :\ Anyway, they're mostly bugbear skeletons & zombies, and the zombies have just a few too many hit points for him to take down in one swing, even with max power attack. (The skeletons crunch nicely, especially since he's using a greatclub, which negates their DR. Not many of those left at this point.) It would work much better at this point, since my druid caught a whole busload in the enormous area of effect of his Ice Storm spell. (I've never seen quite the look of relief on anyone's face as I saw on our DM's after I reminded him that Ice Storm has no save. He thought was about to have to roll fifty-odd saving throws ...)
