Massive combat overhaul [D20M]

I've been thinking about mixing a VP/WP system with CP2020's FNFF combat system. Ordinary hits come off VP while crit's and exess VPs come off WP with hit location; fort save for various side effects, possible crippeling, a need for medical attn, ect.

Any thoughts? (some of my players like fire arm realism)

One of the many cool things they did in Ultramodern Firamrs by Green Ronis was present what one needed to do to use their wepaons in a VP/WP game.
 


VP/WP conversions are pretty easy. Take around half an hour, if you're gonna get into a bunch of detail (like rewriting feats/spells/powers that deal Subdual damage, etc.). And, personally, I think that VP/WP would fit D20M better than HP. :)
 

I just took a look at UMF (nice book) and found the VP/WP rule (Add 1 more die of damage). I don't think i need to use that. I was reviewing FFNF and heres the basics i'm planning to use.

Normal hits affect VP.
Critical hits and hits that go beyond VP are applied to WP.
WP roll 1d10 for hit location, any limb struck for 8 damage is destroid. Roll a fort save vs 10+Damage taken to remain concius.
WP can only be healed in a medical facility.

Now to keep the players from abusing called shots, maybe make them -8 or so.
