Master's Touch and the Bastard Sword

reveal

Adventurer
Master's Touch in the Complete Adventurer says it grants you proficiency with a weapon for a certain amount of time. Now, the bastard sword is a martial weapon if you use it 2-handed. So, technically, a fighter is proficient.

If a character is a fighter/wizard and casts it, do they gain the Exotic Weapon Proficiency to use the bastard sword one handed or does it do nothing because, technically, they are already proficient with the bastard sword?

Is the martial proficiency required for the exotic?
If not I'd let them pick
If so I'd give them the martial then the exotic

so to answer your question
give the exotic proficiency
