Masterwork Stone Weapons?

Of course, Being masterwork items, perhaps you could simply have them made from something called Deepstone (or something equally mysterious and dwarven). Simply rule that Deepstone is harder (and rarer) than normal stone and is thus preferable for making weapons.

This would be an interesting twist on Dwarven culture. Dwarves, being so attuned to the earth, while able to make metal weapons of great quality, prefer to use stone versions which are as good or better.

Thanks for the idea Jesus Marley. I love the concept and am definetely going to run with it, permitting DM approval. Deepstone sounds cool, but I think I'm going to call it Darkstone. The material would be as dark as the darkest recesses of the earth and are as workable and as durable as steel. I sure hope my DM will approve of this. Tanks again Jesus Marley!

There is a Dragon Mag that gave 3.5 stats for Dark Sun. I believe it included adjustments for obsidian weapons. You can use the same for flintnapped blades.
