Matching the guns to the stats in Spycraft

whydirt

First Post
I like Spycraft a whole bunch, but I was disappointed to see that while the authors listed numerous guns and their names, they didn't specify which guns had which stats.

Since I'm no gun expert, it would take me a long time to look up and match all the stats to the guns, so I was hoping someone could help me out.

Are you referring to the Spycraft Espionage Handbook or the Modern Arms Guide?

If you have not seen MAG, where it associate the stats to specific makes and models of firearms (among other equipment listed in this product), I highly recommend it.

I'm talking about the main rulebook. Like I said, I'm not a huge gun-nut and don't need tons of detail or even lots of guns, but I'd like to be able to at least name the guns listed in the main rulebook.

The stats are listed as 7.65mm, 9x19mm .380 ACP, etc... and then in the descriptions it lists the brand names like Baretta Model 80, Glock 26 & 27, but I can't find any place where the two parts are matched up together.

I'm not a huge gun-nut (or gunbunny) either, but buying the MAG help me identify which firearms uses which ammunition.

If you choose not to go the buying route, I suggest searching for the firearms online, where they give you information as to which caliber ammunition it can fire.

Sure. That was my backup plan. I was just trying to see if anyone had already done that. No sense doing the same work twice, right? ;)

The Modern Arms Guide is one of the best (if not the best) equipment sourcebook I've ever seen for any rpg. If you're not a gun bunny, you'll be well on your way after going through the book. I highly recommend it.

Well, if you aren't planning to buy the MAG, and you want to skip the work, post what guns you want to know the calibers of, and I'll get the infor for you, if you want.

Actually, I found something that will work for me at the Modus Operandi site. In the Spycraft downloads section there are some quick lists of guns and stats. Here's the link:

Thanks for the offer, however.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner - didn't spot the thread :(

I presume you mean the supplemental weapons listings for Spycraft Lite by Peter Skanes. If so the direct links for each of them are:

Pistols (71KB)
Auto-Rifles (52KB)
Submachine Guns (55KB)

Each of these is a link to the PDF, so you might want to right click and select "Save target as..."
