Gnometown Hero
For my next big dungeon crawl, I want to not worry about creating a ton of rooms full of bugaboos (although I will be flipping through The Dungeon Alphabet tonight, so maybe I'll change my mind), but rather, I want to make sure that several important beats for this penultimate adventure in a four-year-long campaign get hit.
It occurred to me that I've seen articles about creating an adventure matrix for investigative and urban adventures. Can anyone point me to a good (or even the best) resource for this sort of thing?
And does anyone have any experience with using this sort of design for an actual dungeon crawl where, say, after a certain amount of time, the group will stumble across The Mysterious Statue, or whatever?
Thanks for your help in advance.
