Matrix trilogy set?

I've seen ads for Matrix: Revolutions, but has anyone seen anything about a trilogy set? I've been putting off buying the 1st 2 on DVD (I have the 1st on a rather worn VHS) because 2 and 3 were coming out so close together.

Yeah, same with me. But probably not. Not with my luck, anyway.

Joel Silver confirmed about 2 months ago that the trilogy would come out as a boxed set. There is no reason to think otherwise. Too much money to be made on not releasing it. I'm sure it'll come out before Christmas of this year.

Wow.

My pessimism does pay off...

The Matrix Boxed Set should include the Animatrix as well...
...plus the hour of extra footage shot for the Enter the Matrix videogame. Maybe they could even splice some of it in LOTR EE style.

What about Revisited shouldn't that be included as well?

Maybe throw in a copy of the Matrix Comics and the whole website on one of the disc, why leave anything out?

You know, that idea ain't half-bad. I bought the Enter the Matrix game so that I'd be getting the whole story. It would be really easy to add some of the footage from that game into Reloaded.

Then again, including all of the extra footage would make some parts of the movie reduntant. Another alternative would be including the extra footage from the game on a Special Features disc.

Could they add something to make the movies more interesting? I really found parts 2&3 to be quite boring...

In fact, there's a little running gag in my circles...

Remember in The Matrix: Reloaded when the machine were digging through the earth? And Niobe says, "The machines are boring through the surface..."

I always said, "Oh, they're boring alright!"

It's a shame...I really enjoyed the first film...
