I really like the more painterly style that Star Wars has gone with in recent animation projects (over the more overtly digital stuff from the early Clone Wars era).I think this show might be breaking my aversion to animation. It's reached a quality/style where I can bear to watch it. The art is excellent. The movement of the characters is sometimes quite good (running is still bad). It's almost coming out the other side of the uncanny valley of motion and physics I find so hard to watch, and which Star Wars cartoons are full of. If they keep improving in this direction, animation might be back in my viewing habits.
(Weirdly I'm find with 80s cartoons and The Simpsons because they are 2D and not trying to look or feel 'real').

And the lightsaber colors! Now, those have been great in the recent live action shows too, but my goodness. That fight scene between Maul, Devon, and her master? That was amazing in terms of the textures and the lighting. I feel like the animators on this show deserve an award. The textures are great!

To be fair, Maul was at a disadvantage due to his damaged leg. Also, being outnumbered by two lightsaber users who co-ordinate (like Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, Daki and Devon, or Marrok and the Eleventh Brother) is tough for even a full Jedi or Sith.So I’m not super familiar with Inquisitors and stuff, except for seeing them in the Kenobi show, but I’m surprised they’re more dangerous than an actual (ex) Sith Lord. The Sith say there can be only two, but these are basically Sith without the name, right?
