[May] What are you reading?

Well, I just finished The Prestige and I'm torn between two different books. The first is The Martian Tales Trilogy (A Princess of Mars, The Gods of Mars and The Warlord of Mars in one volume), the second The Great Book of Amber (the complete Amber Chronicles in one volume). Which should I read first?

Read the Amber stories first. Both are classics, but I think the Amber books are better. Good luck resisting the urge to use the "trump cards" in your next D&D campaign!

I finished Iron Council. I did like it more toward the end, though I think I still prefer his first two Bas-Lag books.

I'm in the mood for some non-fiction now, so I am reading Jesus by Michael Grant. It's good so far.

I reciently finished reading Dan Abbnets "Horus Rising" which confirms my long held belief that he is one of the greatest writers in the last 60-80 years.

I've also been rereading "Falkenburg's Legion" by Jerry Purnell, a book I haven't read in years.

I'm rereadingStiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach.

This almost made my xmas list last year! Still gonna haveta get it along with The Roaches Have No King...

I'm just starting Dusk, by Tim Lebbon. Its a very downbeat dark fantasy story, that just 80 or 90 pages in, has me feeling sorry for the characters already.

I´m reading "The City of Towers" by Keith Baker and enjoying it greatly!
I´ll have to take a closer look at my Eberron campaign setting book, this world seems to rock.

Devices and Desires by K J Parker. This guy can't write fantasy fast enough for me, for me he's the best fantasy author out there at the moment.

Oh, and I'm also reading A Very Short Introduction to the Mythology of Ancient Egypt. Can't remember who that's by.

Now that my degree is finished (well, hopefully), I've started reading 'Deception Point' by Dan Brown again. I never got beyond the first few chapters last time. I'm about halfway through now, and after a slow start, it really does seem to get better.

glass.

I'm reading "Nylon Angel" by Marianne de Pierres. It's a cyberpunk novel, which I've been in the mood for. It's pretty good, though she does occasionally overemphasise some stuff.

I finished Fencing Master--it was a pretty quick read. I've read a couple chapters of Game of Thrones but I may put it off for another book.
