Me, Published!

Unattainable Ideal
Hey, this is awesome! My first appearance in an actual for-sale product!

Rooms With A View from Vanishing Goblin -- two of the encounters therein are by yours truly! Hurrah!

I love these kinds of books -- instead of one adventure, it's a whole passel of adventures, NPCs, locations -- like the old Citybook products from Flying Buffalo, or the new Foul Locale books from MEG. They're great for just browsing through and stirring them creative juices. If you need a quick add-in or a jumping-off point, you can just grab 'em off the shelf and away you go.

I really enjoyed working with Andrew at Vanishing Goblin -- he was super-professional and very straightforward about how the process would work, and I'm eager to see my copy, let me tell you!

Anyway, just tooting my horn a bit, feeling good about myself and wanting to throw a little good cheer around. Hi everybody!

:D

And I got a job! I'm Software Project Manager at a fast-growing company here in Vancouver. It's crazy busy but fun fun fun.

So I'm having a pretty good autumn, gotta say.

Hey! Congratulations on both counts :)

I shall have to pop over to RPGNow and look at the product.

As for the job ... well ... I tend to stay out of other people's offices ;)

Thanks!

This company I just joined is growing faster than their space allows, so I'm currently sitting in my boss's office. So not only am I in another person's office, I'm IN another person's office....

Do let me know what you think about the product -- I'm obviously eager to hear feedback, even just from people who see the cover. I'm really proud of the contributions I made and would love to hear what fellow ENWorlders think.

Thanks!

I have an adventure published with Dire Kobold, which was also totally exciting, but because of their subscription model it's not available for general sale. Dire Kobold IS an awesome service and Ross is a great guy, and they're worth subscribing to, no question, but it's not like just having your book (or rather, a book you're in) up for sale for everybody.

Vanishing Goblin is planning a print release of Rooms With A View -- THAT'S gonna be so sweet. And they've got plenty of exciting releases in their pipeline, so stay tuned!

Congrats! You're the other person to get two submissions in the book. (I have two.) I particularly like the cover. Did any of yours make the back cover blurb? (I had one reference.)

I answered not to toot my own horn (much) because I already did so at Monte's boards, but to second the warm fuzzies for Andrew Luther. Talk about professional. I've had a lot of interaction with various publishers this past year for a variety of reasons. They are all class acts in their own way, but Andrew is impressive for a new publisher on the market because he does what he says he's going to do and he appreciates the writer a lot.

Looking forward to reading your entries and the other eight! :)

Hey, hey!

Good to see ya published, my man. I will definitely go pick up a copy to take a look at if you're featured in it. No sense in letting you have all the fun with that proverbial horn :)

And congrat's on the job too, I've done the out-of-work and searching for a job thing, it's not much fun. Sounds like a good one, much luck with it.
