Mecha Crusade 'Opposition' Characters

Well, the major problem I'm seeing with my character the way I envision him is with the way we're doing character advancement. The Covert Agent is supposed to gradually remember his/her past as time goes on; and we're going to be picking up 2-3 levels after every mission. Besides, I don't know if our GMs want to deal with the flashbacks, conspiracy, and angst that he'd be involved in. (Like I said, I'm a drama king.) I'm actually afraid of hogging the spotlight with long between-mission roleplay. If the GM (who is the GM, anyway?) isn't intimidated by the sound of this, I may use my original concept after all. If not, I'd like to try out the new character idea. I'm the kind of guy who can create a totally munchkinized character and still have an interesting story, so I'll still have fun. But I would like to play my Covert Agent character if that's not too big a problem.
This is more of an issue with Festy than me. I doubt I'd have too many opportunities to do anything other than happen-stance take advantage of this weakness if you chose to flip out in combat... but this is mostly in between missions = Festy.

ahoy hoy, i'm still here somewhat though my internet access is still restricted. i will be able to get on daily though i'm unsure if i could get online often enough to DM something, in addition to that i was unable to bring any my rping stuff with me (it was on a computer which didn't have a burner, i tried to get it burnt but i'm unsure of the results) which includes the mecha crusade booklet thingy. so overall, for a limited time in the future i am effectively crippled as a DM.

I really hate to say this, but I have to pull out. I'm currently involved in two weekly D&D campaigns, a semi-weekly Feng Shui game, and a weekly play-by-chat Exated game. I am beginning to suffer from gaming overload. I know that those of you who are involved in 659 In Character games are laughing at me right now, but a recent drastic change in my lifestyle will soon cut down on my free time by a huge margin. Sorry about this. :(

Background and History

Masahiko didn't live an easy life. He was born on the streets of a suburb of New Tokyo, and he would have died there that very day if some tramps didn't take him from the bag where his mother left him, and didn't raise him as their son. It soon became evident that the boy was very smart, and had a real talent repairing every sort of things he found in the trash, so they started to call him 'Gomi Boy', the boy of trash. As he grew up a band found out he also had a talent at opening locks without the proper keys, and with his help they became a real threat in the suburb, untill the police managed to catch them.
He was sent to a reformatory, the place he got to hate more than every other in the world. After his third escape the judge wanted to send him to a juvenile prison, but a man stepped forward, a sort of professor that worked for the government. He offered to take care of the rebel boy, and get him working at a project of the government. The boy's attorney agreed so gomi Boy went with the professor at a military base. The professor was strict and severe, and inflicted him horrible punishments every time he was disrespectful or tried to escape, but it was the person more similar to a father he ever had. he taught the boy the misteries of electronics and the laws of phisics, and the boy's mind absorbed everything like a thirsty sponge. In the end he was ready to help the professor in his secret project, the construction of an army of mechas. Masahiko had never seen anything as beautiful as the military lab where the professor worked. Also, the boy was so talented the generals saw fit assign him to the project with an official appointment. This way the boy became officially a soldier under the professor's direct command.
One night Gomi Boy finally found a safe way to escape from the base. He went out, took a deep breath and stopped to think. In the base there was a mecha he helped to build. A mecha he could even pilot sometimes! No, it wasn't the right time yet to leave the base. One day, maybe...
