Hi guys,
So I've gotten a hold of both Cthulhutech and Starship Troopers, and they go together a lot better than I thought. I really don't like the idea of the Nazzadi, which seem way too anime for me (dark skin and fangs, it's like drow vampires in mecha!). I was also underwhelmed by the Migou mecha, which look like bugs but aren't actually bugs. So why not just use the bugs from Starship Troopers?
I find it even more interesting that in Starship Troopers, the bugs are inhabiting Yuggoth--I mean Pluto. Coincidence? I think not!
Anyway, being a GM with little time on his hands, I'm curious as to what RPG (not miniature) scenarios are out there that are set in mecha-based campaigns. It doesn't have to include mecha in every scenario, but it should be in some scenarios.
To my distress, there's a ridiculous amount of setting material and precious little adventure/scenario material for modern games. I'm thinking of Heavy Gear/Jovian Chronicles, which will deluge you with information about the worlds but not much in the way of adventures.
Any ideas? Any other games I'm missing? I'm confident I convert anything to my system of choice (D20 Modern), but the raw material seems very sparse when it comes to scenarios.
