Risking looking like a pimp but for those out there who showed interest earlier (and I am so happy I have to share
).
I have just picked up Steam Logic's Mechanical Dream RPG. As an RPG it's the most impressive thing I have seen especially as a first time product from a small publisher. I would rate it above Wheel of Time d20 RPG and Forgotten Realms in presentation alone, both of which were gorgeous.
It has:
1. 370 pages of hard bound goodness (for much less price than Forgotten Realms),
2. a fascinating fantasy setting like no other I have seen (vaguely reminescent of Abe's Odd world strangely enough), and
3. a very solid rule set similar in complexity and flexibility to D&D3e.
Ah well enough's enough. For more go to www.steamlogic.com.
