Meeting EN Worlders in Real Life--Central Ilinois

I'm visiting home (currently Mackinaw IL, but I'm from Bloomington-Normal originally) for acouple of weeks pretty soon and wondering if there are any EN Worlders in the area (well, I know there are, but anyway).

I've asked this before but are there any good FLAGS in Peoria? Someone once mentioned one that had a good used section.

The only LGS I know of are in Bloomington-Normal. There is one in Washington, IL (not too far from Peoria). A lot of people like it, but it's not for me because the owners smoke.

If you want to come as far as Champaign I could arrange a cameo appearance in our Wednesday night game. It's a bit of a haul for two hours of gaming, but I thought I would offer.

I'll second Pogue on this one. The Game Room in Washington is a nifty little store and the folks who run it are first rate, if you can stand the tobacco cloud.

hmm, there's a store called Beyond Eternity that's bloody hard to find, and it's not exactly friendly.

The Game Room is certainly friendly -- but I can't even walk in the place anymore. Instant headache from the smoke. Not exaggerating at all -- I can't go in there anymore. That might only be during heavy business hours, when there's a lot of people in the back smoking too. There's also the problem that if you buy something that's been in the store for awhile, it's yellowed.

I don't know of a place around here with a good used section! I'd love to hear about it, actually, if anybody knows.

I go to Beyond Eternity all the time. The owner runs it out of his house, so he has really low overhead costs. He gives a discount on everything that's still in print.
