[MEG] 3.5 and the Eye

Don't take this the wrong way, I am a fan of the ROE setting, but I really really hope you revise the new core classes in the new version so they perhaps conform closer to the norms in terms of attack/save progressions and power.

Most notably the Witch, the Samurai, and Merchant.

Hey sir,

The Witch is actually getting a major overhaul in Pantheon and Pagan Faiths along with the Shaman. The essence of these classes will remain the same but they are getting 3.5ed as well as balanced more for all 3.5 edition games and not balanced towards the H:RoE setting as much which was slightly higher power level than normal.

The Samurai class in the Hunt was intentionally created to be a villain character but will see updates along with the Merchant class. The Samurai may get a more standard progression but will still be created with the thought of being a major villain bad-ass NPC character more than a PC class due to the nature of the region the class comes from, which is Ithganin.

Hope that helped!

Doug must be tired he just called you sir! Not that you do not deserve it I just find that funny ;) .
But as Doug mentioned we will be 3.5ing it as well as taking care of most of the issues we have seen come up from the last 2 years of TH: RoE books being available.

Heh, the only people who ever call me "Sir" are security guards. Usually when they were throwing me out of places. (That's not original, but it's true...)

Anyway, sounds great.

What would also be cool if there was more of an integration with people in Earth, perhaps using d20 modern. Probably the best aspect of Gothos (IMHO) is how it's connected to Earth via dreams.

One of the cooler scenarios in one of the adventure books (I guess Of Places Most Foul) was the one with the little girl who had been kidnapped by a serial killer on earth, but escaped was in a coma, and while in the coma, affected Gothos with her dreams. And so the PCs on Gothos had to enter her dreams and kill the serial killer.

I'd like to see info for playing the Earth side of that kind of connection as well. The first part of that, perhaps finding the girl in the first place, would have made a great d20 Modern scenario.

Will Bluffside get 3.5ed and when are we going to see more of this great city?
I am getting some pdf stuff out for Bluffside and I do not think it will be 3.5'd until it seels through then we need to evaluate resources.

I believe we will be re-releasing TH:RoE in a much longer 3.5 hardcover in 2004

Yeah I already know that. I was currious about something more immediate. Kind of like an errata sheet but with the changes to 3.5 instead of corrections. Something the fans could use, and that could be used as a guide in doing the actual conversion of the book itself.

We will see we are discussing some of this at GenCon almost all the writers will be there with us. It may happen.
